DESCRIPTION
1998 Terra Gator 8103 "Black Beauty" Liquid Floater (PZ5489), John Deere diesel engine (S/N RG6081H028474), Terra Shift transmission, heat, air conditioning, Am/Fm CD radio, 1,800 gallon stainless steel liquid system, 70' boom, foam marker, stainless steel foam marker tank, top poly rinse tank, stainless steel chemical eductor, 66x43.00-25 tires, Raven SCS661 controller, shows 42,254 miles, shows 3,064 hours.
Notes: As a plaque on the dash attests, Black Beauty is Ag-Chem's first production unit 8103 TerraGator, built in July 1997. It was painted black in the factory and included enhancements such as chrome rims, air intake, exhaust and steps. It also had a polished stainless steel product tank and wet boom plumbing. It featured a John Deere engine and a TerraShift transmission, 1800 gallon product tank and straight 70' booms. The unit was used as a show machine and was taken to machinery shows throughout the Midwest for its first five years and never used for field application during that time. The Ertl Company produced a 1/64 scale model of the Black Beauty TerraGator. A large picture of Black Beauty was featured prominently behind the welcome desk at the Ag-Chem corporate office in Jackson, Minnesota during this time. When AGCO bought Ag-Chem, the machine was sold to an ag retailer, Greenbelt Elevator in Cleves, Iowa where it still is today. The machine has only been used as a liquid unit and has been well maintained throughout its life.
